North of Give lies the beautiful forest area of Hastrup Plantage, which offers good hiking routes. In the eastern part lies the forest-fringed Hastrup Sø, which is flowed through by the Skjern Å. In the area close to Hastrup Sø, there is a lovely forest playground with a campfire and barbecue area and packed lunch houses, as well as a nearby shelter site.

Hastrup Plantage is a beautiful forest area southwest of Ejstrupholm with, among other things, four marked walking routes and the forest-fringed Hastrup Lake. Hastrup Plantage and Hastrup Sø lie on the transition between the Jutland ridge and the West Jutland heath plain. It is a beautiful forest area that offers many nature experiences.

Hastrup lake is surrounded by old oak forest with grazing highland cattle. Skjern Å flows through the lake on its way to the west coast.

To the west of the lake is Hastrup Plantage itself, which from 1877 was laid out as a typical heath plantation. In the plantation there are marked walking routes. In the plantation there is also an exciting tree species experiment.

South-west of the plantation is Galtkær, an area rich in birds, which was created by damming Galtkær Bæk to reduce the ocher supply to Skjern Å. Bird tower is found at Galtkær.

South of Hastrup Sø, east of Hastrupvej, there is a forest playground with an associated bonfire, the playground can be used freely.

Day passes for fishing in Hastrup Sø can be purchased from the chairman of the Thyregod Sports Fishermen's Association, Kurt Lundsfryd, tel. 21795505 and e-mail: kurtlundsfryd25@gmail.com. The season starts on 1 May and ends on 1 November.
