The Lost Lake (Brande Elværkssø) you will find in a scenic area approx. 2 km north of Brande town. There is a path which is approx. 4,5 km. long and nicely hilly - wire mesh covered walkways have been laid out at the most swampy areas.

It is a beautiful natural experience to walk around Skjern Å's beautiful course - from bridge to bridge. You start at the new bridge over Skjern Å.

The bridge is built on the site where Brande Electric power plant was located from 1910 and which disappeared in the stream – due to a dam failure in 2013
The place is at the bottom of Højmarksvej. The new "Electric Power Bridge" is manufactured by Give Steel and financed by funds from the Danish Energy Agency's 'Green Scheme', a compensation triggered by the installation of the four wind turbines in Flø close to Brande.

The path is approximately 4,5 km long and is very nicely hilly - wire mesh-covered footbridges have been laid out at the most swampy areas. At the end of the disappeared lake - Skjern å is passed again - this time via an old wooden bridge. Here the path meets 3 nice shelters - for free accommodation - there is also a campfire and a dirt toilet.
Not far from the old bridge, there is again a nice fire pit with a grill and tables and benches.
It is also possible to get to these shelters via Søvej.
Bestseller owns the area and has built the beautiful shelters.

There is a rich animal and plant life along the path with  lots of birdsong and little squirrels jumping
around the mixed deciduous and coniferous forest. You are often lucky and see deer along the path.
